#Kulgam, June 03: In its ongoing drive against poppy cultivation, Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Revenue department Thursday destroyed poppy cultivation spread over 17 kanals of land in district Kulgam.

A statement said, a team from police station Manzgam along with the officials of Revenue Department destroyed poppy cultivation spread over 17 kanals of land at Chogal Pora in Manzgam.

Accordingly a case FIR 43/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at police station Manzgam and investigation has been taken up yet.G

Genera public says

*General public of the area have appreciated the action of police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also the statement said.

Meanwhile, Police have urged the general public to come forward with any information regarding illegal cultivation of poppy crop crop  in their neighbourhood.P

person's found indulging in drug peddling and cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.O

Finally our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace the statement said by JK POLICE KULGAM DISTRICT.
